RENEW PATHWAY'S JOURNEY

WHO WE ARE

The name Renew Pathways is inspired by a favourite verse from the book of Romans found in the bible:

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Modern neuroscience tells us that the mind involves both emotion and cognition, deeply intertwined, so much so that we often feel before we think. I believe the author, Paul, understood this connection. When Paul wrote about the renewal of the mind, he was referring to the transformation of both our emotional and cognitive selves.

This belief shapes the approach to my supervision at Renew. The Renew Pathways process is designed to help people cultivate renewal that integrates both thinking and feeling, enhancing work–life balance, sustainability, and personal effectiveness. My PhD and postdoctoral research confirmed that the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of those in human service leadership, such as pastors, chaplains, educators, and other people-focused leaders, depend largely on the development of emotional intelligence (EI). Developing EI is therefore a central focus of Renew's supervision practice.

So, I invite you to join me on this journey. Follow Renew Pathways on LinkedIn, Facebook, or via the website and explore how you can cultivate renewal in your work and life. I look forward to connecting with you.
